I was looking for an app that can cast local content from my iPad to a Chromecast. nPlayer does a great job at this. It can cast local content, network content and online content (via its browsers) to a Chromecast. I tried various other apps and nPlayer is by far the best video player I have found. It has great network discovery (local network or cloud accounts). It can download external content within the app for offline use, no iTunes needed. This is my new primary video app for my iOS devices. Highly recommended.
