nPlayer Plus App Reviews

I hesitated before getting this app. It does not have many reviews and that last one scared me. I got really worried when it also was not working for me. Well the 5 stars is for having an app that does all I want, a good user interface when watching movies and for being cheaper. I did get it working, this apps only shortfall is a lack of info. To connect to a NAS you need to include the port number. There is a bug in the NAS access in addition. To download files you have to edit it. There is a help file, but it is incomplete. But bottom line, get this app if you need a wide format support, FTP, DLNA, download and like a better user interface.

Very robust file streaming, with clear and intuitive interface. Works exactly as expected, unlike most other apps I tried earlier. Thank you very much!

Ive tried quite a few media player apps for downloaded video, and nPlayer is my current favorite! Right codec support, clean interface and most importantly smooth playback across file types and sizes!

Excellent GUI. Very versatile (plays almost every file that I want to play*). Flawless streaming over wifi from my NAS without lag. AC3 audio support!!! Well thought out; very polished. Well done!!!!! *does not have DTS support due to patent issues. (hope to see DTS support again) *to the user that states that his NAS does not work with this program, it is not this program rather look at your d-link NAS as the culprit; it work flawlessly with my WD NAS.

Every video I throw at it, it can play it. Subtitles (srt file) with the same name as the video files shows automatically.

This allows me to play almost any format without conversion!!! Also support Dolby codec which is superb (many others dont). Only downside is that it plays 1080 tp file not perfectly(not synced and tiering on screen) but I dont blame this app since it is just iPhone and not a computer :)

Almost perfect network video and music player. All it is missing is an in-app purchase for a dts codec.

Ive been trying so many app before discovering this one. Plays my mpg files from my Synology NAS perfectly. Everything I tried worked perfectly! This will save me converting tons of films to other formats.

I have purchased almost all the top rated mediaplayers out there and tried them on my iphone and ipad. As of today this is the ONLY one that ACTUALLY works flawlessly with SMB streaming and supports AC3 sound. Wonderful. Thank you, thank you and thank you. I wish I had seen this one in the numerous "reviews" about the "best" mediaplayer app, could have saved a lot of money and hassle.

The help files are for a different app. They are not even relevant to this app. I followed the instructions to wipe out the highlighted movie, it wiped out all the other 135 movies and left the one I highlighted. Cannot create another folder inside the document folder. Forget it until they tidy up the control panels and create a relevant help file

2.4 buggy streaming DLNA. Cant stream more than a few seconds and crashes. Works fine on my PS3. Wait for new release if you need this feature.

Support all my media via CIFS/DLNA/Itunes. It is by far the best I tested with all nice features like gesture volume / brightness / speed and more. Also you can bookmark you DLNA and place.

Plays anything you throw at it flawlessly. You can stream from your network drives directly. All that is left is to integrate playing via chromecast and dts sound support. This is one app you wont regret purchasing..supports many more media formats than Goodplayer which is the second best player out there.

Easily the best SMB video streamer for IOS. The only things missing are DTS and Chromecast.

This app is by far the best video and streaming app for ios,,I normally use whenever I wanna see videos on my iPad using the app file sharing or when I stream movies from my airstash through WebDAV and the amazing thing there are no stutters or crashes whatsoever,,completely on the opposite side from vlc player which is constantly crashes and stutters,,it is really worth its price,,a very recommended app.

This app is really fantastic and probably the best one out there. Almost all bluray mkv files now have DTS audio which is something this app does not support. I need to hear my movie guys!! Keep up the great work!

App does what it says, works great. This begs for chromecast support, add it and be the best app out there.

The update not working on ios 5.1 grrrr want can i do now? I format my iPad 2 time and its not working anymore on 5.1.1
