Smooth wheel all video formats, search information on downloaded videos, including synopses, stream content to Apple TV and Google Chromecast, and is fully compatible with the Sandisk iXpand drive. That is, I can copy my files directly to the drive and the app reads the videos directly from the external drive! Great!

displays logo about dts headphone upgrade that i cannot find a way to disable.

Since latest update each video has a kinda preview player with background and you have to press play on thumb to even access a video this is entire crap.If i choose a video from network list mode i want to see the video and not again a thumb Also avi video is now played as audio. It was the best player and now has entire messed up. Cannot recommend this anymore.

It even plays high bitrate videos on the first iPad mini very smoothly.

The player itself has nice features and usability with nice UI customization. Sadly i can only watch Youtube videos on max 720P. If i could watch in 1080P id give more stars, other players arent that nice but can handle this. If this gets updated ill raise to five stars, cause then it would be the only player i need. So please give us that update and dont let us pay for it (again).

My original review is below, but virtually all of these concerns have been addressed by the developer. As such, I give it my highest recommendation. Rock solid, and it works, fast. ------------------------ The quality of this app is excellent. The business and pricing model is a terrible let down. After paying for this App previously, the new version removed many core features and will only re-enable them with a $5 in-app purchase. This is despicable. If the developer needed to start charging more he or she had many ethical options: 1. The new version would not disable previously purchased functionality and instead only unlock new functionality with an in-app purchase 2. The old version could have been left intact, but no longer supported. The new version with in-App purchases could have been released as a new App, letting users decide if they wanted to upgrade or not. 3. The developer could have offered a reduced or free upgrade for those who already paid for the software, let new purchases bring in the revenue for whatever changes were made. Asking users to pay for software, then removing the functionality they paid for and asking them to pay again if they want it back is a criminal way to treat users.

I wish there is a pass lock on Cloud storages (eg. Dropbox) and pass key support for sftp.

I dont know if that is possible but please add an option to scale subtitles no matter what kind of resolution videofile has. Saw that feature in potplayer on pc ("display on overlay/VMW/EVR surface") , very useful when watching old low resolution anime and other stuff. Otherwise fonts is too blurry for IPad. THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ME Add an option to prioritize subtitles/audio language by finding digits combinations in the name of track (I dont know exactly how it works but settings of some of PC players allowes you to add words to find in track name ("eng, english, jap", for example) and prioritize the ones that goes first. I hate to be forced to changing audio language 30 times a day if some guy who packed files into mkv file decides to add a ton of audio tracks into it. Nplayer prioritizes my language (russian) so Im often forced to change, but I want it to do that only for subtitles when watching anime. No one likes fan dub when there is a really good original sound. Please. Please. Please. I beg you.

The last version of nPlayer crashes as soon as I open it. iPad Air 2 ios 8.1.2. Fix it!!!

After the latest update I cant use the app any more. It crashes immediately when I run it. iPad 4.

The author makes the second time to pay for the purchased program. The program does not work correctly with an external ftp server. There is a request for a login and a password, but no login to the server. At the official forum the author was informed about this, but the author does not take any measures.

Pity. It used to be good.

Latest update still does not play basic XVID and DIVX codecs smoothly of all things. "Supports DIVX" just means that the pop up is gone when playing those files. App keeps getting worse and worse. Avoid buying until reviews say problems are mostly fixed

Was my go to app until it stopped working, it just crashes and wont open on Iphone with IOS 9 , no solution inspite of searching on google, will change my opinion if they fix it to make work again

Great app altogether, however, an option to upload files to a media server would be extremely useful in cases where we need to move files off our devices. Just a suggestion tho.

why cant i use ioss dts codec, instead of forcing me purchase again?
